How to register at fbisd?
If you are a new student or parent in the Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD), you will need to register your child for school. Creating a Parent Portal account is easy and only requires an email address. To get started, go to the FBISD website and click on the Parent Portal link under the Quick Links section. On the Parent Portal login page, click on the Create Account tab. Enter your email address, create a password, and then click on the Create Account button.
Once you have created your Parent Portal account, you can log in and begin the registration process for your child. Click on the Register a New Student tab, and then enter your child’s information. You will need your child’s birth certificate and immunization records.
If you are registering your child for the first time, you will also need to provide proof of residency. Acceptable forms of residency documentation include a utility bill, lease agreement, or mortgage statement.
Once you have completed the online registration, you will need to take your child’s birth certificate and immunization records to your child’s school. The school will also require proof of residency. Once all of the required documents have been submitted, your child will be registered and ready to start school!

If you are a Skyward Client and wish to login to your FBISD account, simply follow the steps below.
- Go to the FBISD homepage and click on the “Skyward Client Login” link located in the top right-hand corner of the page.

As the school year comes to a close, it’s time to start thinking about next year. One of the things you’ll need to do is update your contact information in Skyward Family Access. Skyward is our district’s student information system, and it’s how we keep track of everything from your child’s attendance to their lunch balance.
To update your contact information:
- Log in to Skyward Family Access
- Click on the “Family” tab
- Click on your name
- Click the “Edit” button next to your contact information
- Make any changes that are necessary
- Click the “Save” button

How do I gain entry?
If you would like to create a skyward FBISD account for your family members, you must first contact the school. A form must be completed and submitted to the school’s administrative office. Please be sure to include your proper email address. A skyward FBISD login ID may take up to seven days to be created for you after you submit the form. After submitting the form, an email with login information and instructions will be sent to the email address you provided.
It’s now possible to access your student’s information on your mobile device, which is convenient if you want to stay in touch with them outside of the classroom. Parents can view information about their children’s classes and grades using the mobile app. You can connect to the app using your home wi-fi network or a mobile device’s wireless network.

The district’s families were able to do more responsibilities online using Skyward’s new enrollment system for the first time.
