The Batman Arkham series isn’t just the best Batman video game series, but one of the best superhero video game series in general. Filled with great gameplay, intriguing storylines, and a cast of interesting characters, the Batman Arkham series served hit after hit. However, it can be confusing to newcomers because some of the games are prequels to others. So, here are the Batman Arkham games in order. Batman: Arkham Origins

This is a first Batman arkham games origins in order. Batman: Arkham Origins is a prequel to the Arkham series. Originally, this game was meant to be the second game in the series, but it was moved up to be the first game instead. This game follows Batman as he deals with the rise of DC villain, Black Mask. Black Mask is a crime lord who’s responsible for capturing Batman and throwing him into a circus-themed death trap. Batman: Arkham Origins features most of the classic Batman characters like Alfred, Robin, and Commissioner Gordon. It’s also the first game to introduce Deathstroke into the series.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate

This is a second Batman arkham games origins in order. Next up is the handheld version of Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate. This game takes place after the events of Arkham Origins, and it features many of the same characters. However, they’re all thrown into the prison featured in the handheld version of Arkham Origins. This game features a top-down, Metroidvania-style of gameplay. You can also play as Batman and Robin on the Nintendo 3DS version.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Batman: Arkham Asylum is the first game in the series. The game follows Batman and Robin as they go to Arkham Asylum to stop the Joker from releasing all the other inmates. This game introduced the world to the Unreal Engine, which is used in many of the Arkham games hence why Arkham Asylum looks far more detailed than its predecessors. This is also the first game in the series to feature the Noise Scanner and Detective Vision. Batman: Arkham Asylum introduced popular Batman characters like the Joker, Poison Ivy, and the Scarecrow. It also introduced Harley Quinn, although she wasn’t yet part of the Joker’s crew.

Batman: Arkham City

Batman: Arkham City is the sequel to Arkham Asylum. This game takes place after the Joker has taken over Gotham, forcing all the criminals into one area. This game features an open-world environment where you can explore the Arkham City area. You can walk around the city, find collectibles, or talk to characters to progress the story. The city also features side missions that help flesh out the story of the game. This game also features more Batmobile missions that let you use the vehicle to navigate the city. You can also use the Batmobile in Predator missions, which are stealth sequences where you try to take down enemies without being detected.

Batman: Arkham VR

Ar Arkham VR is a standalone title in the series that features no story or characters. Instead, this game is a collection of VR experiences. This game features three different main VR experiences. You can play as Batman and go on a virtual tour of Gotham City. You can also go back in time and learn about the creation of Gotham itself. Finally, you can also go inside the mind of the Joker and explore his psyche. This game is meant for people new to the series who want to try the VR experience. It also serves as a nice introduction to VR for people who don’t have a VR device.

Batman: Arkham Knight

Lastly, we have Batman: Arkham Knight. This game follows the events of Arkham City. Gotham has started to rebuild, but the Scarecrow has returned and threatens to destroy the city again. This game brings an end to the Arkham series. It also introduces the Batmobile into a major role. The Batmobile allows you to travel around the city and take part in unique missions. You can also upgrade the Batmobile with new abilities and equip it with different weapons. You can also use it in some boss fights. The game also features a large cast of characters, including the Justice League and their enemies.

Suicide Squad – Kill the Justice League

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a tie-in game to the Suicide Squad movie. It features the Suicide Squad team when they were still young and were tasked with killing the Justice League. This game features a top-down, Diablo-style gameplay where you fight through hordes of enemies to reach the end of the level. It also features the same character and environment designs as the movie. This game is a fun extra for fans of the Suicide Squad characters. It gives you the chance to play as different Squad members like Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and Captain Boomerang. It also lets you play as the Justice League themselves, but you’re trying to stop them from getting killed.
